Come out and compete in a Food Science-themed Quiz Bowl!
The competition will be comprised of two teams, determined at the time of the event, depending on the participants' level of education (graduate vs. undergradute).
The game will consist of two timed halves - 15 minutes each - and a 5 minute break in between.
"Toss-up" (10 pt) and "bonus" questions (30 pt) will be asked. Bonus questions are given to the first team to give a correct response to the toss-up question. If the team cannot give a correct answer to their bonus question, the opposing team will be given a chance to answer it.
Once a bonus question is answered correctly, or both teams fail to provide a correct response, the game will proceed with the next "toss-up" question. This will go on for the length of each half.
Points will be totalled at the end of both halves. The team with the most points wins.
