Welcome New Economics Majors!
The Economics major at Uconn is the second largest major in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS) at the Storrs Campus and continues to grow!
All new freshmen, transfer students, and newly declared ECON majors are required to attend a one-time, mandatory
Economics New Major Meeting to receive all the pertinent information about your new major, including:
You will only need to attend this meeting ONCE as an ECON major.
You are not required to meet individually with an ECON Academic Advisor but are welcome and encouraged to do so in addition if you have further questions.
Students who do not attend one of these sessions will have an ENROLLMENT HOLD placed
and will need to attend a session before it will be lifted. Be sure to attend one so you do not have any issues with course registration for next semester!
Already met with an ECON advisor one-on-one this semester?
You will still need to attend one of these group info sessions (you will likely get further info we didn’t discuss!)
You must attend the full session so you do not miss important information!
Please do not arrive late or leave early. Those who arrive more than 10 minutes late or leave more than 10 mins early will need to attend another session.
Open to ALL students interested in the Economics Major.
Please share with friends who are interested!
Also open to current ECON majors who would like further information.
