The Communication Department is proud to announce the recipient of the 2016-2017 Martin Horn Scholarship:
Katherine Landrey!
Katherine is a Senior, double-majoring in Communication and Psychology. Katherine was selected for her exemplary commitment to scholastic achievement and community service. Not only has Katherine been on the Dean's List since the Fall of 2013 and twice named a Babbidge Scholar, she has also found the time to enrich the lives of those around her: within her UConn community, through leadership roles in Health and Wellness programs on campus and with the First Year Programs office; and, outside of UConn, in the larger Connecticut community, serving as a Servant Leader Intern for the first Freedom School, a literacy program in the north end of Hartford. Katherine hopes ultimately to pursue a career in licensed marriage and family therapy, with a school certification. She is a native of Hebron, CT.
Katherine will be presented with her honor at the Communication Department's annual Commencement Reception, to be held on Saturday, May 6th, from 4pm to 7pm, at The Great Hall, Alumni Center, Storrs.
