  • LID Annual Multicultural Education Confernece

Leadership in Diversity would like to invite you to their second annual Conference on Multicultural Education and Culturally Responsive Teaching: Liberation Starts with Education!

Leadership in Diversity, LID, is a student run organization that was created by Neag Students to support, encourage, and provide professional growth opportunities for students of color interested in the field of education. Through this organization, we have not only been able to act as a support system for each other, but also bring speakers to campus and present at conferences, including the 25th and 26th Annual National Association for Multicultural Education Conference!

The conference will be held on Saturday, March 25th from 10am to 4pm in the Laurel Hall Building at the University of Connecticut - Storrs Campus located next to the Student Union on Fairfield Way.  The conference is FREE and will feature renowned author and educator Dr. Christopher Emdin as our keynote speaker.

LID is looking for presenters who want to share their knowledge and passion about multicultural education and culturally responsive teaching practices with other educators, students and those interested in the field. This is a great opportunity for personal growth and professional development!  For more details on registration go to http://tinyurl.com/julcqcv and to submit a proposal go to https://goo.gl/forms/UVlPlpaXY1h6oSe72.   Please share this information with those who might be interested!
