    Summer Internship Program - Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute

    (MBARI)              

                   

                     

    The Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute (MBARI) offers 10-week long summer internships for grad students and educators to do research in ocean science and technology. The focus is on the intern's professional development, learning research techniques, and improving communication and collaboration skills. The internship supports 10 weeks of research during the summer. Interns from various backgrounds will work with scientists and engineers about marine biology issues. MBARI has state-of-the-art facilities and equipment that includes research vessels, remotely operated vehicles (ROVs), and autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) to explore the deep ocean. The Research Institute is located in Moss Landing, California, at the shore of Monterey Bay.

    CITIZENSHIP

    No citizenship requirements.

     

    ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

    Graduate students and educators can apply. The program is for those who want to learn more about the marine environment and to work with the scientists and engineers at MBARI. Cover letter. CV. Three letters of recommendation.

     

    STIPEND

    Stipend of $600 per week with potential partial travel support.
