    Arthur and Elizabeth Schlesinger Library on the History of Women in America Dissertation Grants – Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study

    The Arthur and Elizabeth Schlesinger Library on the History of Women in America invites scholars whose dissertation research requires use of the library's collections to apply for research support. Applications will be evaluated on the significance of the research and the project's potential contribution to the advancement of knowledge as well as its creativity in drawing on the library's holdings. Grants of up to $3,000 will be given on a competitive basis.

    Association for Asian Studies (AAS) and Inner Asia Council (CIAC) Small Grants

    The China and Inner Asia Council of the AAS (CIAC) is soliciting applications for awards of up to $2,000. Dissertation-level graduate students and scholars with special interests in China or Inner Asia are invited to submit proposals.

    Cuban Heritage Foundation Summer and Graduate Fellowships

    The Cuban Heritage Collection (CHC) Fellowships program provides assistance to students and scholars who wish to use the research resources available in the Cuban Heritage Collection at the University of Miami.  The goal of the CHC Fellowships is to engage scholars with the materials available in the Cuban Heritage Collection and thus contribute to the larger body of scholarship in Cuban, hemispheric, and international studies.

    Gerald P Ford Library Travel Grants

    The Gerald R. Ford Presidential Foundation awards grants of up to $2,200 each in support of research in the holdings of the Gerald R. Ford Library. A grant defrays travel and living expenses of a research trip to the Ford Library. Overseas applicants are welcome to apply, but they will be responsible for the costs of travel between their home country and North America. The grants only cover travel within North America. Library collections focus on Federal policies, U.S. foreign relations, and national politics in the 1960s and 1970s. There are earlier and later materials depending upon your topic.

    Library Company of Philadelphia Program in Early American Economy and Society Fellowships

    The Program in Early American Economy and Society (PEAES) at the Library Company of Philadelphia invites applications for dissertation and short-term fellowships during 2016-2017. These research fellowships are designed to promote scholarship in early American economy and society, broadly defined, from its colonial beginnings to the 1850s. Possible research topics include Atlantic and global connections of the American economy; its commerce, business, technology, manufacturing, agriculture, internal development, or political economy; the history of race and the economy, capitalism, households, or gendered economies.  All fellows are expected to be resident in Philadelphia and conduct research in the area for the duration of awards. Applicants for the post-doctoral and dissertation fellowships may submit proposals based not only on the extensive collections at the Library Company, but also on the printed and manuscript materials of other institutions in the Philadelphia area. Short-term fellows will spend a continuous month of research at the Library Company.

    Mister Rogers Memorial Scholarship

    The scholarship is open to undergraduate and graduate students (Masters or Ph.D.) of accredited colleges or universities. Applicants must demonstrate a commitment — through coursework or experience — to any combination of at least two of the following fields: early childhood education, child development/child psychology, film/television production, music, animation, production of cross-platform entertainment. Applicant must have the ultimate goal of working in children’s media.

    Padnos Museum Internship Program at the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum

    The highly rewarding and fiercely competitive field of museum work requires more than classroom study for entry. Increasingly, employers demand a certain level of practical experience to accompany a degree in the humanities. The Padnos Museum Internship Program at the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum provides the necessary skills students need to attain a certain level of marketability in the field. For its nearly twenty years in operation, the program has provided lasting experiences for students from around the country.

    Social Security Administration’s (SSA’s) Analyzing Relationships between Disability, Rehabilitation and Work (ARDRAW) Small Grant Program 

    The SSA’s ARDRAW Small Grant Program is a one-year $10,000 stipend program awarded to graduate-level students to conduct supervised independent research designed to foster new analysis of work, rehabilitation, and disability issues, which may develop innovative and fresh perspectives on disability. ARDRAW replaces the 5-year grant called the Disability Determination Process Small Grant Program, with a new focus on research relevant to SSA’s work incentives and employment supports – specifically rehabilitation, work and the disability program.

    Citizenship: awardees must be citizens or non-citizen nationals of the United States, or must have been lawfully admitted to the United States for permanent residence
