  • Marketing and Sales Internship - Panera Bread

    Panera Bread “Marketing & Sales” Intern Overview

    Panera Bread is offering an opportunity to students as a Marketing & Sales Intern. The “Focus” of the Internship will include exposure to Cause Marketing, Public Relations, Events and initiatives such as Catering, Rapid Pick-Up and Delivery.  Students will have the ability to customize their internship based on their concentration and career interest. Affiliated Majors that be will considered are Marketing, Public Relations, English, Journalism, Advertising, Business, Communications, Hospitality or Entrepreneurial Studies.

    Business to Business – exposure to the Marketing and Sales related to Panera Catering, Rapid Pick-Up and Delivery.

    * Networking - research business opportunities with local businesses, office parks, non-profits, schools, apartment/condominium complexes and key large accounts to help promote these services.

    Business to Consumer – includes all marketing around the bakery-café and retail sales. Students will assist in coordinating Panera Bread’s presence and promoting Panera at local events including involvement with our charity partners, sponsorships and any related print materials.

    * Sales – hands on to help promote our new initiatives such as Rapid Pick-Up and Delivery Marketing Plans – develop plans for local cafes and community partnerships

    * Creative – craft and design marketing programs (brochures, flyers, coupons, newsletters, email campaigns, cross promotions)

    * Public Relations - write press releases and work with our PR Agency, Regan Communications.

    Requirements/Skills

    * Strong verbal, written and ability to initiate conversation.

    * Superior project and time management skills and attention to detail.

    * Ability to work independently AND in team settings.

    * Self-motivated and able to learn quickly.

    * Develops innovative, creative approaches; is resourceful and productive.

    * This is not a paid internship; however we do offer a delicious food stipend. Hours are flexible depending on your credit requirements. We do also offer the ability to complete some of your hours from your home/dorm office (students must have laptop, internet connection and car), with weekly meetings with supervisor at a nearby bakery-café.
