For graduate assistants who were employed in the Fall semester with children enrolled in state-licensed childcare facilities or bona fide after school programs, the Graduate Employee Union-UAW Local 6950 runs a childcare reimbursement program. The instructions and application can be found here. All applications must be received by January 15 to be eligible for reimbursement. More details are available in the application or in our collective bargaining agreement.
Note: To be eligible, you must have been employed by the University as a graduate assistant and covered by the GEU-UAW collective bargaining agreement for the period of reimbursement (Sept-Dec. 2016). An approved application does not guarantee full reimbursement for childcare costs.
