    SDE/GWIS National Fellowship Program - Sigma Delta Epsilon (SDE),

    Graduate Women in Science (GWIS)                   

                     

    The SDE/GWIS National Fellowships Program offers 14 fellowships to encourage women researchers in the sciences who hold a degree. Endowment funds, mostly generated from bequests, provide the annual income that supports scientific research done by SDE/GWIS award winners. The award is for one academic year (July 1st to June 30th).

    Health Sciences. Life Sciences. Physical Sciences. School of Public Health.

     

    ACADEMIC LEVEL

    Current Graduate Students. Postdoctoral Scholars.

     

    CITIZENSHIP

    No citizenship requirements.

     

    ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

    Awards will be made to women holding a degree from a recognized institution of higher learning, of outstanding ability and promise in research, who are performing research at any institution in the US or abroad. Active SDE/GWIS membership is encouraged; it is $35 for students. For non-members, the application fee is $50 at the time of submission. Abstract. Project description. Proposed budget and budget justification. Copies of Animal/Human Subjects Approval or collecting permits. Letter from host scientist. 2 letters of recommendations.

    Photo. Proposal: all of the work in the proposal must be conducted by the PI of the grant.

     

    STIPEND

    The amount varies from year to year.
