Family Matters: Navigating the Job Market with Partners and Children

The academic job market can be confusing and challenging; navigating applications and interviews with a partner or children adds extra questions and concerns.  Where should you consider moving?  Can your partner find a job?  How does a spousal hire process work?  What family-related questions are appropriate or inappropriate in an interview or campus visit, and how should you respond?  Join us in the Class of 1947 Room, Babbidge Library, from 12:00-1:30 on November 10th for a panel discussion with Dr. Allison Kohan, Dr. Sarah Hird, and Dr. Ariel Lambe!  The first dozen students will receive a free copy of "The Academic Job Market Handbook".

Graduate Students register at: HuskyCareerLink (make an account if you do not have one).  Go to My Events and select Family Matters to register.  Postdocs need to email Kay.gruder@uconn.edu to register.
