  • ISA Honors Awards - International Studies Research

    The Office of Undergraduate Research, in collaboration with the International Studies Association's Headquarters and UConn's Office of Global Affairs, is seeking proposals for undergraduate research in the field of international studies.

    The ISA Honors Awards for International Studies Research provide up to $1,000 per awardee to fund social sciences projects that span countries, regions, or the globe. Travel to conferences to present research will not be funded. However, travel to conferences for research purposes will be considered. Students must specify the topic, theory, and methods of focus in their proposals.

    Student Eligibility: Students must meet the following eligibility requirements:

    - Must be an undergraduate enrolled full-time at any UConn campus;

    - Must be pursuing a bachelor's degree at UConn;

    - Must complete any travel associated with this award before graduating from their bachelor's degree program;

    - Must be a member, in good standing, of the Honors Program; and

    - Must have their faculty advisor on the project submit a recommendation form.

    Students may not receive both an ISA Honors Award and an OUR Travel Award during any given academic year.

    Deadline: Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis until funds are exhausted. The deadline to submit a 2016-17 application is March 31, 2017. Program details and a link to the online application are available on the ISA Honors Awards page of the OUR website.
