  • Medicine and Maimonides in Medieval Egypt

What were some of the medical afflictions faced by patients 1,000 years ago? How did ancient physicians treat these cases? Tomorrow, Dr. Efraim Lev from the University of Haifa will offer insight into the materials used in prescriptions and what these materials can tell us about practical medical knowledge in the Middle Ages. Dr. Efraim Lev’s talk will be on Tuesday, September 27 at 12:30PM in room 162 of the Dodd Research Center. A free kosher lunch will be provided as well!
