    Empowerment Workshop with Sarah Malhotra

    "Empowerment Over Self Defense: Re-framing the Martial Arts Regarding Sexual Violence"

    Sarah Malhotra is the chief instructor of "The Dojo" Westport. She is a 3rd degree black belt instructor. While the core of her martial arts training is in Kempo Karate, she also trains in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Doce Pares/Eskrima. Sarah is a UConn alum and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a Minor in Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. Sarah also works as an educator for the Center for Sexual Assault Crisis Counseling and Education in Stamford teaching K-12 age-appropriate material on feeling safe, sexual harassment, sexual assault, and bystander intervention.
