    Marketing Your LGBTQ+ Experiences -- Tuesday, September 20, 2016, 1pm, Rainbow Center (Student Union, Room 403)

    LGBTQIA+ grads and allies are invited to join us for a workshop on how to effectively market their experiences as a LGBTQ+ person. This professional development workshop will be led by Kay Gruder and Laura Evangelista from the Center for Career Development here at UConn.

    Additionally, a limited number of copies of Alison Bechdel's Fun Home will be given away in preparation for our Fall Book Club. Light refreshments will be served, so please bring a friend/colleague with you as well!

    Fall Book Club -- Wednesday, October 12, 2016, 5pm, Rainbow Center (Student Union, Room 403)

    LGBTQIA+ grads and allies are invited to join us for our fall book club meeting, where we will be discussing Alison Bechdel's Fun Home. We will serve light refreshments, and we look forward to having a lively discussion of the major themes and importance of this book!

    Identifying Workplace Discrimination: Understanding Your Legal Protections -- Tuesday, October 18, 2016, 12:30pm, Rainbow Center (Student Union, Room 403)

    LGBTQIA+ grads and allies are invited to join us for a workshop on how to identify workplace discrimination. This professional development workshop will be led by Nick Yorio, J.D. from the Office for Institutional Equity here at UConn.

    Participants can expect to learn about what resources they may find available at the federal and state level in regards to reporting suspected workplace discrimination.

    Light refreshments will be served.
