    Hello Uconn Advising community!

On behalf of the National Academic Advising Association, we would like to invite you to attend our 2016 NACADA Connecticut State Drive-In Conference, “The Greatest Advising on Earth: Mastering the Balancing Act” on Friday, April 15th from 9:00 AM-4:00 PM at the University of Bridgeport in Bridgeport, CT.  Please click here to see the conference program and to register for the event.

The conference will be a fantastic opportunity to network with other academic professionals in the area. Also, given the complex nature of advising and the expanded roles many of us are experiencing, it is more critical than ever to collaborate with others on campus to balance our responsibilities. Our keynote speaker Susan Kolls truly understands how to master this balancing act, with over 15 years of experience in NACADA. We are ecstatic to hear tips from Susan when it comes to managing our roles as advisors, especially when it comes to collaborating with others on campus to deliver some of the greatest advising on earth.

We would also like to invite you to submit a proposal to present at the conference. Please click here to submit a proposal. The deadline for proposal submission is March 18th.

Bridgeport is a little bit far for some of us here at UConn. In an effort to organize some carpooling situations, we have created a google spreadsheet where you can list your name, the town you’re coming from, and if you’d be willing to drive. Once you register, please head to this spreadsheet so we can start planning.

We hope you will join us on April 15th at the University of Bridgeport. Please feel free to share this information with a friend or colleague who may be interested in joining us at the conference.

    Enthusiastically,

    The Planning Committee
