  • UConn IDEA Grant Accepting Applications

    Applications for UConn IDEA Grant academic year funding (for 2016-17) are currently being accepted. Funding of up to $4000 per student is available to support student-designed projects including:

    • Artistic and creative endeavors
    • Entrepreneurial ventures and prototype development
    • Original research projects
    • Service initiatives
    • Other innovative, student-driven projects

    Undergraduates in all majors at all UConn campuses can apply. Applications are accepted from individuals and from small groups of students who want to work collaboratively on a project.

    Application Deadlines: The application deadline for academic year (2016-2017) funding is Monday, March 14, 2016.

    UConn IDEA Grant Drop-In Hours: Students can stop by drop-in hours for proposal reviews or to have questions on the IDEA Grant program answered.

    • Thursday, March 10th, 3:00-5:00pm, Rowe 401

    • Friday, March 11th, 1:00-4:00pm, Rowe 401

    Students can also schedule an advising appointment with Dr. Caroline McGuire, OUR Director, through email (caroline.mcguire@uconn.edu) or AdvApp (select Enrichment Programs) for proposal reviews, to discuss project ideas and learn more about the IDEA Grant program. Skype and phone appointments are available for students at the regional campuses and those studying abroad.
