  • 100 Years of Women Scholarship

    The 100 Years of Women Scholarship Fund was established in 1992 to honor a current matriculated UConn student or a high school senior planning to enroll in the University of Connecticut who, as a role model or advocate, has advanced the role and contributions of women and gender equity in society. Applicants must be enrolled at least half-time for the entire Fall 2024/Spring 2025 academic year.

    The mission of the Women’s Center is to educate, advocate, and provide support services for the achievement of gender equity at the university and within the community at large.

    The Women's Center works to:

    · dismantle gender oppression through prevention, education, and advocacy;

    · support undergraduate and graduate students, staff, and faculty who experience sexism, gender-based violence, discrimination, and/or harassment;

    · center the experiences of women and gender-expansive people; and

    · celebrate all of the ways gender is lived and expressed through an anti-racist and culturally affirming feminist practice.

    To apply, the applicant must complete and submit an application form, including an unofficial transcript, résumé or curriculum vitae, and two letters of recommendation from individuals who can comment on their commitment and service to women’s issues and gender equity.

    Applications are available at 100 Years of Women Scholarship | Women's Center (uconn.edu) Please note current UConn students should be submitting their materials through Current UConn students apply here. Due March 22.
