We are looking for volunteer help to make check-in calls to people who have requested absentee ballots. No special expertise is needed for the calls, and they can be done with just a brief training from our Election Monitors around the script and what to do if someone volunteers other information that should be passed along to our lawyers. The outline of the call is to: thank the person for planning to vote, ensure they understand the two-step process (application and ballot), and know the deadline for returning the absentee ballot as well as the methods (in person, mail, drop box).
The election will be held on Tuesday, February 27 so time is of the essence.
