Opportunities

  • 2/23 SHARE Virtual Summer Research Apprenticeship

UConn faculty in social sciences, humanities, and arts disciplines are invited to submit an opportunity to be included in the SHARE Virtual Summer Apprenticeship program. This program is grounded in equity to facilitate opportunities for first- and second-year undergraduates majoring in social sciences, humanities, and arts disciplines to assist faculty mentors with research over the summer, with an emphasis on providing pathways for underrepresented, 1st generation, and high need students to engage in research.

Student apprentices can earn up to $1400, paid as an hourly wage (92 hours of summer project work); faculty mentors receive a $500 professional development stipend in recognition of the guidance and support they provide to apprentices. Faculty apprenticeship submissions are due 2/23/24. Students can begin applying in early March 2024.
