My name is Shindler Auguste, Staff Assistant and Intern Coordinator for Congressman Jim Himes. We have released our Summer internship dates on our website! With an exciting Summer internship opportunity approaching for your students, we hope you can connect with your students interested in applying.
We would greatly appreciate it if you encourage prospective applicants to apply. Any prospective applicants are welcome to check our website at https://himes.house.gov/services/internship.
All internships do provide a small stipend. Congressman Himes' office offers stipends for applicants with demonstrable financial needs. Applicants for summer internships in DC and/or in Connecticut with demonstrable financial need are encouraged to apply for the Kevin J. Sutherland Washington, DC, named stipend or the Jack Bryant Connecticut named stipend. Please submit this information along with all other required materials by 4 pm on April 5th, 2024.
The Summer Internship Program is open to all high school and college-level students. For our college applicants, the internship details can be found on Handshake. The deadline is April 5th, 2024, at 5:00 pm EST. Interns will start in late May and end in mid-August.
