The Office of Undergraduate Research (OUR) is here to support students who are planning to apply for a Summer Undergraduate Research Fund (SURF) award for summer 2024. SURF is a faculty reviewed award program and the application has several different elements. Please take time to review the SURF website paying close attention to the SURF application outline. The application outline provides a list of all of the questions that you will be asked to answer in the Quest application portal.
OUR advisors are happy to review draft materials (proposal, budget, timeline, short answer questions) with students. Note: The SURF deadline is 11:59pm on Monday, January 29th! Seek feedback now on your draft materials. Materials should be shared with OUR at least 24 hours in advance of your scheduled appointment time in order to allow us time to complete a thorough review prior to the appointment. Materials can be sent via email to our@Uconn.edu. Be sure to discuss your materials with your faculty mentor throughout this process.
