UConn Job Opportunities

  • Jobs: BIOCHEM, PSYC, and SOCI Grad Students

The Office of Pre-Professional Advising is looking to hire a graduate student to teach the following sessions of the MCAT Test Review Course in Spring 2023: Biochemistry (2 sessions), Sociology (1 session), and Psychology (1 session). Instructors are paid $500 for each 4 hour virtual session they facilitate (synchronous and asynchronous), and $100 per hour for a 2 hour virtual orientation, and 2 hours of completion and familiarization with specific portions of the MCAT exam. (Teaching of 1 session would total $900 total; 2 sessions would total $1400.)

The non-credit course is test review for undergraduate students preparing to take the MCAT exam and pursue matriculation in medical school. It runs 10 sessions during the Spring semester, with teaching occurring on Saturday mornings. The course is offered annually and, provided the session(s) go(es) well, instructors may be invited to return the following year.

Successful candidates will be graduate students in a relevant field. We will consider Graduate/Teaching Assistants for these positions *provided they are eligible to work the additional hours and their advisor approves their participation*.
