    Honors & Enrichment Programs Graduate Assistantship
    Effective August 23, 2022- May 22, 2023

    Job Summary:

    Graduate Assistantship (20 hours per week) for 2022-2023 Academic Year

    The Honors & Enrichment Programs Graduate Assistant will support students in the Rowe Health Professions Scholars Program by advising, creating programming, and providing administrative support.  In addition, the Graduate Assistant will assist in developing communication strategies with students, and conducting assessment and evaluation. This person will report to Honors Program Assistant Director for Honors Advising.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Provide advising to students in the Rowe Health Professions Scholars Program.
    • Create and execute workshops, professional development opportunities, and other programming, for students in the Rowe Health Professions Scholars
    • Assist in the administration of the Rowe Health Professions Scholars Program
    • Assess and evaluate programs by staying apprised of best practices, benchmarking, developing learning outcomes, maintaining databases, and reporting for various audiences.
    • Communicate with students about opportunities and expectations using email, social media, and website maintenance.
    • Complete special projects or other duties as assigned.
    • Some evening and weekend hours may be required.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Pursuing a graduate degree at UConn in related field (Health Sciences, Education, Public Health/Policy)
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Proven ability to plan, coordinate, and implement individual and group programs and services that meet students’ needs.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience working with high-achieving students.
    • Experience with assessment and program evaluation.
    • Proven ability to work independently and to solve problems and approach challenges in a flexible and/or creative way.
