The Student Leadership Board is a group of ambassadors from across the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS), committed to enhancing the value of a liberal arts and sciences education at UConn through outreach and academic/social experiences. Ambassadors will develop valuable professional skills in leadership, project/event management, marketing/communications, community building, and public speaking.
As an ambassador, students are expected to:
- Plan and carry out specialized, CLAS-directed projects and communication efforts that promote the CLAS community
- Represent the College at open houses, alumni events, as well as other outreach events that promote the mission of the College
- Connect with influential alumni through mentorship programs and tailored panel-style events such as applying to graduate school or developing a professional identity
Eligible candidates must be undergraduate students in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences who have spent at least one semester at UConn. Students from all UConn campuses are eligible and encouraged to apply. Nominations are also accepted.
