  • Fall 5 hr GA in Ed Psych

    The graduate assistant will be expected to provide an average of 5 hours per week support during the fall. Applicants must have a 10 hour GA position to be eligible for this 5 hour position.

    Dr. Jackie Caemmerer, an assistant professor in the Educational Psychology department and School Psychology program, is seeking a graduate assistant to support her research project funded by the Woodcock Institute for the Advancement of Neurocognitive Research and Applied Practice (https://twu.edu/woodcock-institute/). Graduate assistant responsibilities will include assisting in the literature review, organizing references, preparing IRB materials, creating tables and figures, data preparation, preparing presentation proposals for conferences, manuscript preparation, and the manuscript revision and resubmission process. The graduate assistant will likely support multiple ongoing research projects (https://education.uconn.edu/person/jacqueline-caemmerer/) and will meet regularly with Dr. Caemmerer. This graduate assistant position is a combined research and teaching position and may involve supporting graduate courses in the fall.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • ·       Enrollment in a graduate program, preferably in the fields of psychology, education, or a related discipline.
    • ·       Previous research experience or related transferable skills.
    • ·       Skills related to scholarly and empirical study writing.
    • ·       Excellent organization skills and ability to manage multiple tasks at once.
    • ·       Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
    • ·       Ability to be self-motivated and to conduct oneself in a highly professional and ethical manner.
    • ·       Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat Professional.

     Preferred Qualifications:

    • ·       Experience supporting or co-authoring empirical articles.
    • ·       Extensive experience conducting thorough literature reviews.
