We want to invite you and your students to join Community Outreach’s final Workshop of the semester: News Literacy featuring Salem State University’s Journalism and Communications department! There are many “unprecedented” things about the world today, and teaching news literacy in our current information environment is certainly one of them. Join UConn Community Outreach and Salem State as we present a special 90 minute workshop with Cathy Fahey, Dawn Stahura, and Tara Fitzpatrick of Salem State’s Journalism and Communications department. This informative, interactive sessions will provide crucial skills and strategies for developing proficiency and confidence evaluating any piece of information. Accompanying activities will reinforce and elaborate on the material covered in the workshop.
