The Undergraduate Studies Committee of the UConn Department of Communication is proud to announce that Lauren Lewis (CLAS '21) has been selected as the 2021 Martin Horn Scholarship winner.
Lauren is a senior from West Haven, CT with an impressive GPA who has engaged in a host of extracurricular activities, including working as a mentor for Communication Students in UConn's The Major Experience program, serving as the Concert Chair for SUBOG, and as a Big Brothers, Big Sisters mentor. Lauren also works as a COMM Tutor for the Student Athlete Success Program, and completed a marketing Internship for Charter Communications last summer.
The committee was impressed by Lauren's entire application and record, but would like to call attention to the work she has done through SUBOG to bring artists from underrepresented communities to UConn to enhance the diversity of art and entertainment at the university.
