On Friday, we announced to students that we are extending the application deadline for housing for F21. The original deadline was Jan 31 and we are extending to Feb 28. We are behind in our application numbers and want folks to be able to make informed decisions in this uncertain time and not feel pressured. We have updated our important dates on our website, emailed students and emailed parent email addresses on file.
Please note: the housing deadline for regional campus students campus changing to Storrs for Fall 2021 is still March 5.

Dear student,
We are writing to you as a student eligible to live on campus for fall 2021.
We are extending the deadline for the fall 2021 housing application, due to the extenuating circumstances of this academic year. The changes to the academic calendar, the modality of courses and the uncertainty of the fall 2021 semester have resulted in many of you feeling challenged when planning for fall 2021 semester.
We have two important dates to highlight for you. All students who submit the 2021-2022 housing application by February 28, 2021, will be considered on time applicants. Eligible students meeting all housing requirements will be eligible to participate in housing selection and will be notified in March.
The cancellation deadline for fall 2021 will be July 31 to cancel housing with no fee. Beginning August 1, 2021, the fee will be $500 for any student that cancels their fall housing.
We are moving forward with plans for fall 2021 to be at full housing capacity. As the spring and summer months progress, we will make necessary adjustments based on the health and status of the state. We will always have your best interests in mind and will communication updates to you as early as possible. We hope you consider submitting your application to live on campus in fall 2021 and to return to community living with your peers!
