    China Programs – Semester Start Dates & Course Enrollment

    East China Normal University (ECNU) begins their semester on March, 1st.

    First-Year & Upperclassmen Student Course Enrollment Process: All students who are participating in the ECNU program have received a list of approved courses they may enroll in from Education Abroad. This approved course list includes pre-requisites, which we have clearly informed the students to make sure they review prior to enrollment. The students should currently be reviewing this spreadsheet and have a list of 4-6 courses they would like to take. At the end of February, students will use the ECNU course enrollment system, to select classes.  

    First-year Students and enrollment in UConn Online Courses: First year students have the option to take ENGL 1003/1004/1007 and/or UNIV 1820 . Education Abroad worked with Academic Advisors to determine the best recommended ENGL course they should enroll in, and they were enrolled directly into open sessions that fit with their ECNU schedule and time difference. If the students takes ENGL or a UNIV, these courses are included in the cost of their program. First-year students may NOT enroll in additional UConn online courses.  

    Upperclassmen and enrollment in UConn Online Courses: Upperclassmen students have the option to enroll themselves in ENGL 1003/1004/1007. Students MAY enroll in 1 or 2 UConn online courses. These credits will be charged by the Bursar, in addition to their program fees. They must be aware of excess credit, and communicate with their School/College to discuss the right course of action.

    University of Nottingham Ningbo (UNNC) begins their semester on February 22nd

    First-Years Student Course Enrollment Process: In the coming days, UNNC will be contacting our first-year students and confirming their approved track of courses. UConn and UNNC, have designed X school/college specific tracks.

    First-year Students and enrollment in UConn Online Courses: First year students have the option to take ENGL 1003/1004/1007 and/or UNIV 1820. Education Abroad worked with Academic Advisors to determine the best recommended ENGL course they should enroll in, and they were enrolled directly into open sessions that fit with their ECNU schedule and time difference. If the students takes ENGL or a UNIV, these courses are included in the cost of their program. First-year students may NOT enroll in additional UConn online courses.  

    Upperclassmen Student Course Enrollment Process: The upperclassmen have provided UNNC with a list of courses they are interested in enrolling in. UNNC will approved the courses added on the students’ UNNC application and enroll them into the courses. UConn and UNNC are working together to approve the list of the selected courses by each student.Student will be able to add/drop during the first 2 weeks of classes.

    Upperclassmen and enrollment in UConn Online Courses: Upperclassmen students have the option to take ENGL 1003/1004/1007. Students MAY enroll in 1 or 2 additional UConn online courses. These credits will be charged by the Bursar, in addition to their program fees with the exception on ENGL 1003/1004/1007 that is already included on their program fee. They must be aware of excess credit, and communicate with their School/College to discuss the right course of action.
