UConn Pre-College Programs—Upward Bound, Upward Bound Math & Science, and Connecticut College Awareness and Preparation (ConnCAP)—provide comprehensive college preparation support to high school students from Windham and Rockville High Schools. Through the six-week Summer Academy at UConn’s Storrs campus (three weeks commuting and three weeks residential), students engage in academic coursework, enrichment activities, field trips, and skill-building experiences designed to help them thrive in high school and prepare for
postsecondary success.
We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Tutors and Mentors to support the delivery of the Summer Academy. These roles play a key part in guiding students, assisting with academic and enrichment activities, and helping create a positive and engaging learning environment. Tutors will support subject areas including Math, English/Writing, Science, SAT Prep, while Mentors will help guide students through both academic and enrichment experiences throughout the program.
