  • UConn Debate Team

The UConn Debate Team gives students a platform to develop their public speaking skills. Our competitive team debates a wide range of topics involving economics, politics, social culture, and law, and competes in tournaments hosted by the American Parliamentary Debate Association. We've competed at Boston University, University of Pennsylvania, and plan to compete at Brandeis, Brown, Northeastern, and Yale University. If you’re interested in developing your argumentation skills and connecting with a community of students with similar interests, we strongly encourage you to try out! Applications close Feb 20th, 2026. Here’s our recruitment form: https://forms.gle/2xNzFTAX4tBoP67x6
