If you have ECE (Early College Experience) courses OR UConn courses you took on a non-degree basis prior to enrolling at UConn this fall (these can include courses you took through UConn while in high school or before you matriculated this fall as a student, including over the winter or summer) you must decide if you would like these courses applied to your degree by either ACCEPTING or REJECTING each course.
DECISION DEADLINE: January 27th, 2025
Make your decisions in Nexus. (An e-mail was sent in October with a link.)
Click ACCEPT or REJECT for EACH individual course, indicating your decision.
You must make decisions on ALL of your courses to have them locked and applied to your degree, including any course(s) you want to REJECT.
If you do not select a decision on a course, ONE WILL BE MADE ON YOUR BEHALF!
ACCEPTED COURSES:
- The grades and credits for accepted courses will be applied to your degree in February and factored into your cumulative GPA.
- The courses will count towards your requirements or electives.
- If any accepted course is a repeat, or if you choose to repeat the course, the repeat forgiveness policy will apply.
REJECTED COURSES:
- You should REJECT any course you DO NOT WANT applied to your degree.
- You should REJECT any course with a final grade of AU (audit).
- You should REJECT any course with an "F" grade so it does not count towards your GPA.
- When you choose to reject a course(s), they will only show in the non-degree section at the end of your transcript.
- You will not get credit towards your degree for any rejected course, it will not fulfill any relevant requirements or elective credit, and it will not affect your cumulative GPA.
You may change your decisions until Jan. 27. After the deadline, these decisions will be final! You cannot make any changes to your decisions at any time after the deadline.
Consult with your Academic Advisor if you need any assistance or if you want to discuss whether you should accept or reject your ECE/Non-Degree coursework.
