For those looking for a unique introductory course, we are offering POLS 1207: Introduction to Non-Western Politics. This course is not taught regularly and can substitute for POLS 1202: Introduction to Comparative Politics. Unlike POLS 1202, POLS 1207 takes a much deeper dive into the politics of countries in the global south, with an emphasis on Latin America, Sub-Saharan Africa, and South Asia. If these are regions that interest you and you would like to gain exposure to a set of ideas from outside of the European and American context, this might be a great course for you.
POLS 1207 fulfills one of the intro major requirements, CA 2 and 4-International, and TOI 3 and 5.
