  • May Term: ECON 2447: Economics of Sports

    This course applies concepts from principles of microeconomics to the analysis of the business of college and professional sports.  Topics covered include: the Future of the NCAA; College Players as Employees & NILs; Competitive Balance in the NBA; the NFL Concussion Settlement; NFL Anthem Protests and President Trump;  Demand for Viewing  Sport Events;  Title IX and the UConn Women’s Crew Team. 

    The course materials include electronic readings and documentary sport films.
