  • Avoid Surprises! Check-in with Professors Now!

Students will be receiving midterm grades Oct. 4, 11, and 18. That means this is a good time for your mid-semester check-in with your professors!

Go to their office hours or make a meeting with them and ask them how you're doing. They may say that things are great! But if they mention that things could be better, or if you're receiving a grade you're not entirely happy with, ask them for recommendations on ways you could improve. Maybe you need to alter your study habits or take notes differently. Whatever it may be, the Academic Achievement Center is there as a resource!

Don't be surprised come finals, or wind up needing to make a last minute decision when the withdrawal and P/F deadline is looming! Find out now how you're doing in classes!

(This is also a good way to form a relationship with a professor, which will come handy when you need letters of recommendation, etc.)
