We’re hiring cabin specialists as well as specialty counselors for a number of activities. This is the perfect opportunity for college students looking for a summer internship or job. Cabin Specialist
This is a summer job position, beginning June 16, 2023 and ending August 12, 2023. Our youngest campers, children 8-10 years old, live with cabin specialists. Throughout the summer, your job is to monitor the social, emotional, and physical well being of your campers. You are with them throughout the day, following them from activity to activity. You are responsible for participating in and motivating your campers during each of their activities. As a cabin specialist you really get to experience all that camp has to offer and form amazing bonds with your group of campers. You are essentially their parents, their big brothers and sisters, and their teachers over the course of the summer. Each cabin of ten campers has 2 cabin specialists as well as 2 specialty counselors.
Specialty Counselor
This is a summer job position, beginning June 16, 2023 and ending August 12, 2023. All campers, ages 8-16 live with specialty counselors. Throughout the summer, your job is to monitor the social, emotional, and physical well being of your campers. You are helping with your campers during meals, bunk time and evening activities. During the six activity periods of the day, however, you go to your activity area and teach campers, ages 8-15, who are assigned to your area for that period. Specialty counselors are hired because they have teaching or coaching experience in that activity area and may even have certain certifications (Lifeguard, WSI…). We are looking for activity specialists that are not only passionate about and creative in their activity area but who also have the ability to teach and develop the campers’ skills in that area. An activity specialist gets the benefit of working in an activity area that they love, seeing the campers develop skills in that area, and get to be part of a group of campers in a bunk.
