Congratulations to Uconn's Fed Challenge Team for winning 3rd place in the Fed Challenge Competition.
The Fed Challenge team traveled to the Boston Federal Reserve yesterday to compete against 24 other New England universities. The competition involves creating an economic forecast and making recommendations for monetary policy. Each team then has 15 minutes to present and is subject to 15 minutes of questions. The judges then grade each team.
After the morning presentations our team made the finals!
A total of 5 teams were in the finals for the afternoon. They were UConn, Yale, Harvard, Dartmouth and Bentley. The judges for the finals said that the competition between these 5 schools was very close. The final results were; Yale 1st, Dartmouth 2nd and UConn 3rd.
Our students worked very hard on this project and represented our university very well. If you know any of the following students please congratulate them.
The plaque and trophy will be placed in the glass case soon. Thank you.
