The Department of Economics and the Association of Graduate Economics Students will be hosting Prof. Joseph Altonji (Yale University) on Wednesday, October 3 for the 2018 AGES Distinguished Lecture.
Prof. Altonji will be presenting his recent research on "Undergraduate Field, Graduate Education, and Labor Market Outcomes" at the Dodd Center (Konover Auditorium) from 3:30 - 5 PM. We welcome all undergraduate students, graduate students, faculty and staff to join us at the talk. Lunch will be served for graduate students in Oak 337.
Joseph G. Altonji is the Thomas DeWitt Cuyler Professor of Economics at Yale University and a Research Associate of the National Bureau of Economic Research. He previously held faculty positions at Columbia and Northwestern and served as a visiting professor at Princeton and Harvard. He is an elected fellow of the Econometric Society, the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, and the Society of Labor Economists (currently President-Elect). He received the IZA Prize in Labor Economics in 2018.
