Geoscience will be offering GSCI 1010 in the fall of 2018!
GSCI 1010: Dinosaurs, Extinctions and Environmental Catastrophes will be taught MWF from 9:05AM-9:55AM in ARJ 143. Combined with GSCI 1052 (1 credit Lab course), these courses satisfy the CA3-laboratory science general education requirement. Alone the course meets a CA3 non-laboratory course requirement.
Also, a new section of GSCI 1052 is being added to the fall 2018 schedule of classes. The class will meet on Thursday from 3:45PM-6:45PM.
GSCI 1010: A reconstruction of the Mesozoic world of the dinosaurs based on paleontological and geological evidence. Past and present environmental catastrophes leading to mass extinctions and changes in biodiversity. Fundamental concepts of geology, stratigraphy, historical geology, and paleoclimatology. CA 3.
