Political Engagement Volunteer Event Coordinator
UConn Community Outreach's Political Engagement program aims to encourage UConn students to become more involved in the political process and social issues that affect them. Last semester, we focused our efforts on getting voting information out to the UConn community through a social media campaign and an event with a panel of experts to answer students' questions about voting and the election.
This semester, we are starting off with planning an event on the effects of misinformation in the media. We are looking to fill 3 volunteer event coordinator positions. Volunteer Event Coordinators will help plan, put together, and advertise events. The time commitment is flexible, but we ask that you commit at least 2 hours a week and attend a weekly group meeting. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this position is fully remote.
