    Intro to Making (UNIV 1820.022 or .023, PS# 10559 or 11156)

    12:30-2:30pm/Thursdays or 9:05-11:00am/ Fridays

    Gain access to the newest innovation zone on campus – the Next Gen Hall Maker Space!! You will become familiar with the basic tools, techniques, processes and mindset of the Maker Movement, and identify and begin developing a solution to a real, personally relevant problem in an area of interest.

     

    LGBTQIA+ Representation in Media (UNIV 1820.013, #13106)

    10:10AM-11:00AM/Mondays

    Watch and learn from shows like Brooklyn 99, Queer Eye, Ellen, Madame Secretary, and John Oliver about how media representation, political environment, and our culture influences and is influenced by the community. Through facilitated discussions, interactive activities, reading, and media, students willexamine a variety of topics, including the identities that comprise the LGBTQIA+ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, Asexual/Aromantic, and more) community today.

     

    Introduction to STEM Research (UNIV 1820.006, PS# 9563)

    11:00-11:50am/Tuesdays; obtain instructor permission from Renee Gilberti

    Learn core skills for success in STEM undergraduate research and meet other students studying science, technology, engineering, and math. You can also learn more about the McNair Fellow and Scholar programs.
