  • 3/10 Managing Fear & Fostering Supportive Environments

The Office of Student Care and Concern, in collaboration with D. Stafford & Associates, invites all faculty, staff, graduate/teaching assistants to attend our upcoming professional development session, From Concern to Care: Managing Fear and Fostering Supportive Environments, featuring Cathy Cocks, Director of Student Affairs, Behavioral Threat Assessment, and Independent Investigation Services at D. Stafford & Associates.

This session will explore best practices in promoting a sense of belonging, identifying, and addressing behaviors of concern, and managing fear while supporting our students. In addition, our team will provide an overview of the UConn Student Care Team referral process and available resources. As UConn community members, we can come together, provide support to our students, and work toward building a culture of care across our campuses.

We encourage you and your teams to attend and join us in strengthening our collective approach to student care and campus safety. Please share this information and ask them to complete registration (below) as we will have both in-person and virtual options.
