  • Today: You're Invited to Research Connections 2026!

The Office of Undergraduate Research and Office of First Year Programs & Learning Communities invite you to present at the 12th Annual Research Connections event. This year’s event will be on Wednesday, October 21 from 2-4pm in Werth Residence Tower.  We hope you will consider contributing this year and sharing your work with early career UConn students.

    OUR MISSION

Research Connections is an event intended to expose first- and second-year students to undergraduate research through engaging in meaningful interactions. Faculty, staff, and graduate students are invited to share their work at this expo-style event. This is an informational networking program involving offices, departments, and initiatives spanning any discipline or area of study. Consider participating in this year's event to share your research and opportunities in your department/discipline with undergraduate students!

    WHY PARTICIPATE?

    Participants benefit from:

    ·         Making early connections with students eager for opportunities to learn about your work in formal and informal capacities as they proceed in their undergraduate careers

    ·         A valuable professional development opportunity for your team to gain recognition and awareness with a captive audience

    ·         Exposing a wider range of students to your courses, particularly those aligned with your research

    ·         An opportunity to meet researchers from across campus from many disciplines and levels of leadership/affiliation at UConn

    ·         Recruit students for research opportunities (if applicable)
