We are excited to welcome Jenna Hartwell to the Honors and Enrichment Programs team at UConn Hartford! As the Honors and Enrichment Programs Program Coordinator, she will facilitate academic and co-curricular services provided by Honors and Enrichment Programs, including advising, curricular and co-curricular programming, and Honors student life.
Jenna brings 15 years of experience in education, with a diverse background spanning academic advising, curriculum management, alumni relations, and workforce development—particularly focused on persistence in STEM fields. She earned her B.A. in Social Science with a History Concentration from Cazenovia College and an Ed.M. in Student Development and College Counseling from North Carolina State University.
Before joining UConn Hartford, Jenna worked at College Renaissance Corps, fostering partnerships with CT State Manchester, Asnuntuck, Capital, and Housatonic Community Colleges, as well as community-based organizations and high schools. In this role, she developed training and orientation programs featuring learning opportunities such as Presenting like a Pro, Peer Coaching, Effective Communication, and Fundamental Leadership. She also previously served as an Academic Advisor at UConn Waterbury, where she established a peer mentoring program, coordinated the First-Year Experience (FYE) course, and served as the primary point of contact for all FYE Instructors, guest speakers, and for the registrar’s office.
