We are excited to share that we have an open position for one Student Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Specialist. This is a paid student employment opportunity within the Honors Program. The student in this role will begin in the Fall of 2024.
The Student Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Specialist team develops, coordinates, and facilitates DEI-related trainings, workshops, and programming in collaboration with professional staff. Students in this position will serve as members of a staff/faculty advisory committee to establish and implement inclusive priorities, practices, and programming within the Honors Program. This position offers the unique opportunity to directly influence diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts within the Honors Program and UConn community, while building on interpersonal, communication, facilitation, and event management skills.
Students in this role will be expected to work approximately 7 hours per week during the academic year, dependent on programming and department needs. Requirements for the role include being a full-time undergraduate Honors student in good standing at any UConn campus.
