The Department of Communication at the University of Connecticut is actively recruiting students for our MA and PhD programs in Communication.
Our program stresses the integration of theory and quantitative research in communication and places strong emphasis on a wide range of research and data analytic skills. It is designed to prepare students for careers in academic, commercial, or non-profit spheres. Areas of specialization include interpersonal communication, persuasion, communication technology, nonverbal communication, and media effects.
The Department offers graduate assistantships that include a full tuition waiver, a subsidized health insurance plan, and a highly competitive stipend. Graduate assistants have opportunities to teach stand-alone courses in various areas of specialization. Please visit http://comm.uconn.edu/grad-inquiry/ for more information.
Review of applications will begin on a rolling basis on December 1, and will continue into mid-Spring. All applicants must submit three letters of recommendation, a personal statement, a writing sample, and official transcripts.
