We are excited to share that we have an open position for two Student Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Specialists. This is a paid student employment opportunity within the Honors Program. The students in this role will begin onboarding this semester Spring 2026.
The Student Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Specialist team develops, coordinates, and facilitates DEI-related trainings, workshops, and programming in collaboration with professional staff. Students in this position will serve as members of a staff/faculty advisory committee to establish and implement inclusive priorities, practices, and programming within the Honors Program. This position offers the unique opportunity to directly influence diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts within the Honors Program and UConn community, while building on interpersonal, communication, facilitation, and event management skills.
Students in this role will be expected to work approximately 7 hours per week during the academic year, depending on programming and department needs. Requirements for the role include being a full-time undergraduate Honors student in good standing at any UConn campus.
The Honors Program strongly encourages students of color, students with marginalized identities, and students actively engaged in social justice work to apply for this position.
