Greetings!
The Honors Ambassadors are a student organization that represents the Honors Program in a variety of ways. We are recruiting volunteers at UConn Storrs and presenting the required training for the following events for admitted Honors students who are currently seniors in high school:
- Honors Meet & Greets - Talk to admitted Honors students and their families and share your Honors experiences at receptions at the end of Husky-for-a-Day visits. (April 2, 10, 15, 17, & 22)
- Husky-for-a-Day - Volunteer to host prospective students as they experience life at UConn first-hand. You may be matched with an entering Honors first-year student and share what it’s like to be an Honors Husky. (preferred Honors dates: April 2, 10, 15, 17, & 22; others visits: March 24-April 25)
- UConn Bound Day: Honors Welcome - Greet and mingle with prospective students and families, sharing your experiences and answering their questions as they finalize their UConn decision. (March 30 & April 12)
To volunteer for the Honors Program events, you must attend an Honors-specific training. We are offering training on the following dates, and the in-person meetings will have free pizza and dessert.
If you will be attending an in-person training session, please RSVP using this form no later than the day before so enough food can be ordered. (If you are reading this in Updates in Honors on March 4 and are going to attend later today, please still RSVP.)
- Tuesday, March 4 at 6:30pm in Monteith room 420
- Tuesday, March 11 at 6pm via WebEx
- Wednesday, March 26 at 6pm in Monteith room 319
